Gerard was one of the few cyclocross promoters back then and has been promoting event since he moved here from Pennsylvania<br /><br />Over the next 8 years the event was held at Clinton Lake State Park. A super fun courses (if you like gravel like me:-)) in and around campground #1. After a short hiatus, in 2006 the Chris Cross event was back in full swing as part of the Cow Town Cyclocross Series, which is now the De Stad Cyclocross Van Kansas Series.<br /><br />This year the event moves to the University of Saint Mary to start a new tradition.<br /><br />Here are the results from the first event. Blackfan Cyclocross Challenge<p>Fall is finally here and it is time for Cyclocross. The 2009 De Stad Cyclocross Van Kansas Series presented by <a href="http://www.pacelineproducts.com/">Paceline Products</a> begins this Sunday with our opening round. The Diamond Blackfan Cyclocross Challenge will again start off our series with a great fundraising event for the <a href="http://www.dbafoundation.org/">Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation</a>.</p> <p><a href="http://www.kansascitycross.com/index.php?option=com_weblinks&view=weblink&id=8&catid=38"><img style="float: right;" alt="Paceline_rgb" src="http://www.kansascitycross.com/images/stories/sponsors/Paceline_rgb.jpg" width="195" height="169" /></a>Online registration closes on Thursday at 11:59pm. Our <st1:place st="on"><st1:placename st="on">Series</st1:placename> <st1:placetype st="on">Pass</st1:placetype></st1:place> (1 free race) will also close at this time so please register now.
